As a Christian community here in Newcomen, Redcar, our mission is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ through our witness, worship and practical expression of His love, within the community we serve and beyond to the world.
The fellowship started here in 1963, at Newcomen primary school. We felt there was a local need in the community for a place of worship as new houses were being built. In 1967 we built our existing Chapel and we like to think of ourselves as a Church for the community.
We extend a very warm and friendly welcome to people of all ages and backgrounds to our services and mid-week activities. We also welcome, and try to support, those who wish to have their child baptised, celebrate a marriage, or honour the departure of a loved one.
Throughout the year we work alongside other churches in Redcar to spread the good news of Jesus Christ to those around us. Visitors can expect an informal style of worship using both traditional and modern hymns. We hope to welcome you to any of our church services and events.
