Here at Hinderwell Methodist Church we aim to share the message of Christ to all in the village and community, and through our day to day living enable us to show the love of Jesus Christ in our lives.
In 2013 we celebrated our 140th anniversary, but we look forward to our next 140+ years serving Christ in our community of Hinderwell.
Unfortunately we are the only surviving Methodist chapel within a 15 mile radius after the demise of chapels in Staithes and nearby Runswick Bay, and so therefore we work very hard all year through. We hold Bank holiday coffee mornings and in the summer months cater for coach party outings with valuable help from villagers for which the Chapel is the HUB of the village! Although we are a small congregation the village do support us greatly in every event that takes place.
Visitors can be most certain of a very warm and friendly welcome to any of our services and events. The worship style is traditional and unfortunately we have no Sunday School.
10.30am – Morning worship, Holy Communion included once a month.
Every Bank Holiday Monday – coffee morning
3 day Christmas Gift Stall – held in November
