At Brotton Methodist Church our aim is to share the good news of Jesus Christ with those who as yet do not know Him and to be channels of Jesus’ love as we connect with our community.
We have been worshipping in our current building since 1985, but Methodism was quite prevalent in the town having 3 Chapels over the years, unfortunately most of have now been demolished. The current building is the former hardware department of the Co-Operative Society, which served the community with essential household needs. In 1985 a ‘conversion’ took place, the building being ‘converted’ into what is now The Methodist Church Centre, and whereas when it was a shop and in those days not opening on a Sunday, and catering for ages past – it is now open on a Sunday and endeavouring to serve the present age – our calling to fulfil!
Visitors can be sure of a warm and friendly welcome where members of the congregation will make you “feel at home,” either at Sunday service or one of our mid-week coffee mornings.
Worship is both traditional and café-style, but unfortunately we have no Sunday School.
10.30am – Morning worship, with Family Services conducted once a month. Holy Communion is once a month.
Coffee mornings on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays starting at 10.00am until 11.30am.
